The U.S. Supreme Court has turned down a request to block Tuesday’s execution of Washington, D.C. sniper mastermind John Allen Muhammed.
He is scheduled to die by lethal injection Tuesday at a Virginia prison for killing of Dean Harold Meyers at a gas station during a 3-week spree in October 2002 across Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
Muhammad & his teenage accomplice, Lee Boyd Malvo, were also suspected of fatal shootings in other states, including Louisiana, Alabama and Arizona. Malvo is serving lifeterm in prison.
